There is no 'too much'</h4><img src="https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/gitconnect-86655.appspot.com/o/users%2FbO4o8u9IskNbFk2wXZmjtJhAYkR2%2Frepos%2F471556535%2Ftiptap%2Fwordle-bot.png?alt=media&amp;token=1f0a924a-ec66-42e6-88c0-314dfc762bc9" width="534" height="300.70875" dataalign="center"><h3 style="text-align: center"><a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://dannydoesdev.github.io/wordle/">Live site</a></h3><h3>Why this?</h3>This ones a #throwback - my first ever project at General Assembly, and it still runs okay I reckon!Our teacher (@katharosada on GitConnect) switched up the fairly bland boilerplate first project every other class does - tic tac toe - for Wordle.She gave us everything we needed and I personally think it was a stroke of genius - who wants to play tic tac toe by themselves?<h3>What was learned?</h3>I think this was the first time I had the 'front end' bug awoken in me, you can just keep plugging in weirder and weirder CSS numbers (read - box shadow amounts) and it only gets better... in my personal opinion.The first taste of that ✨Code Magic✨, and I was hooked for life. (Also the first taste of 🧠Wordle Magic🧠 - still pretty hooked on that too tbh)<h3>Main Challenges:</h3><ul><li>Getting double letters to work properly with Wordles rules was my first real journey on going down a coding rabbit hole I struggled to get out of... </li><li>I learnt a lot about the value of preparing in advance, using pen and (gasp) paper to write out various ideas, and then test all of the outcomes on paper before putting them into practice.<ul><li>Future Danny's note - I have not practiced this so called value gain since </li></ul></li><li>It took quite a few hours and too many lines of code to figure it out, but once I had it written down I was able to attack it much more effectively. It was a painful yet useful learning experience in being a dev.<ul><li>Future Danny's note - oh you sweet naive soul, little did you know how many 'quite a few hours and too many lines of code's you would have ahead of you</li></ul></li></ul><h3>Features:</h3><ul><li>You can make guesses by either using your keyboard or clicking the letters in the 'unused'/'used' sections of the page<ul><li>Enter or the 'submit' button will allow you to submit</li></ul></li><li>I learnt about localStorage and implemented some variables which persist through leaving the page etc to store your wins and streaks of wins</li><li>I played around a lot with transitions &amp; animations to get a 'vibe'.
